Biodiversity in Latin America and the Caribbean
Biodiversity in Latin America and the Caribbean is a compendium edited by the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Latin America21. It brings together 18 articles written by researchers from the region, which analyze the critical situation of Latin American ecosystems and propose paths toward more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable conservation.
The articles address key topics such as climate change, mining, the rights of indigenous communities, access to water, health, the blue economy, and the role of international agreements. Through an interdisciplinary and regional perspective, the compendium offers tools for informed decision-making and promotes dialogue between science, politics, and society.
