Somewhere in heaven
John Brooks is a screenwriter who dreams of achieving his goals by entering the corporate world of Hollywood. He contacts an important producer with whom he befriends. After having negotiated on different occasions the making and shooting of the film, they toasted satisfied with champagne. The next day, the producer is assassinated. Detective Spencer arrives at the crime scene. He gets down to work to investigate. Taking the fingerprints on the glasses, he discovers that the last person who was with the late producer was John Brooks. He is questioned extensively but nothing conclusive is reached. He has no prior record, although the fact that he was the last person to be with the producer makes him suspicious. Brooks is calm, his conscience is clear, but still, he is overwhelmed by the loss of his friend and the inability to make his movie. He argues with his partner and walks away for a while despite Spencer asking him not to move from Los Angeles.
As the investigation progresses, Brooks meets Alan, a rather strange character, who will take him through unsweetened paths. As detectives unravel the purpose of the instigation and try to uncover the material killer or killers, it is likely that Brooks will discover the path of spirituality with his new friend Alan.
