Given the increase in the production and use of chemicals in recent decades and the limited institutional capacity to address the related challenges, it is essential that the countries of the region develop a regulatory framework with a preventive and integrated approach, taking into account experiences and international best practices. This report collects examples from the region of policy and institutional frameworks for the integrated management of chemicals and waste.
