This Policy Brief was prepared by The South American Network on Applied Economics/Red Sur and presents the main policy recommendations emerging from the baseline study for Ecuador under the same title, by the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador - PUCE), as part of the Red Sur project "Tobacco Taxes in Latin America" coordinated by the Institute for Health Research and Policy of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and supported by the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use of Bloomberg Philanthropies.
